The GEO agencies a dental practice should shortlist are ItGrows (our product), Dominate Dental, ThinkProfits, Rosemont Media, Gargle, Smile Marketing and Studio 8E8, all of which sell work aimed at getting a practice named when patients ask AI assistants such as ChatGPT for a dentist. The best one for your practice is the one that shows you in writing which patient questions it will track, which assistants it will ask and how often, and what it will publish on your own website.
We publish this list, and ItGrows is our own product. Every other entry says only what that agency's own website said when we checked it on 30 October 2026. Prices change, so confirm them before you sign.
Which GEO agencies offer this work to dental practices?
Each entry covers what the agency offers, which assistants it names, how it reports and any published price. The order is not a ranking.
ItGrows (our product)
It does the work on the practice's own website so that ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity can find and cite it. Every two weeks it puts the practice's patient questions to those four assistants and counts the answers that name the practice and the sites they cite.
The plan costs $499 a month, month to month, plus a one-time $499 setup. The setup is free with $1,497 for 3 months upfront or $4,788 for a year ($399 a month). Every paid plan carries one guarantee: "In 90 days, AI assistants will name you more often than on launch day — or we work for free." Conditions apply.
Before any plan, the detailed report is free once you create an account: 20 patient questions, each put once to all four assistants. Here is a real one. In two dental clinics' detailed free reports, 27-28 October 2026 (our own data, anonymized; one clinic in Canada, one in England), the clinics were named in 19 and 26 of their 80 answers. In the English clinic's report, the most cited pages were the NHS website and other local practices' own websites.
Its named clients are outside dentistry, with results as the clients reported them in October 2026: FreightSizer, a B2B SaaS for freight dimensioning, got 2 new B2B customers in one month, both from ChatGPT, and MagiScan, an iOS 3D-scanning app, gets hundreds of installs a month from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
Dominate Dental
Dominate Dental is a UK agency for dental practices that sells SEO and AI search as one plan, Get Found, at £999 a month. SEO on its own is £600 a month, and both run on 90-day rolling agreements (prices checked 30 October 2026). Get Found includes a monthly AI visibility report across ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity and Gemini.
The page says every piece of content passes GDC and ASA guardrails before it goes near the practice's brand, and that the agency serves one practice per treatment, per area. Its case studies name Guildford Orthodontics, Yew Tree Dental and Rugby Smiles Dental.
ThinkProfits
ThinkProfits, based in Vancouver and serving clients in Canada and the USA, sells answer engine optimization for dentists. Its page says you get a prompt-level report every month covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Bing Copilot, run on a fixed prompt set for your industry and market so that one month can be compared with the next.
Its work includes procedure and cost answers and clinically reviewed content attributed to named DDS/DMD clinicians. Its tiers are Bronze at $995 a month, Silver at $1,895, Gold at $3,495 and Platinum at $4,995, and the page says single-market operations typically fit Bronze or Silver (checked 30 October 2026). The page names no client practices.
Rosemont Media
Rosemont Media, a San Diego agency, has a generative engine optimization page for dentists that names ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. The work it lists covers website builds, long-form procedure pages, Q&A content, schema markup and ongoing monitoring that tracks AI-generated search results.
Its two case studies, with the practices unnamed, show Google AI Overview placements for local treatment searches. The page publishes no price and no reporting schedule.
Gargle
Gargle, a dental marketing company in Lehi, Utah, builds AEO and GEO into its SEO service. Its page says it optimizes content around real patient questions and names ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Siri. Its pricing page lists Website & SEO at $595 a month on the Nurture plan or $1,145 on High-Grow (checked 30 October 2026). The AEO/GEO page does not say how AI visibility is measured or how often, and names no client practices.
Smile Marketing
Smile Marketing sells GEO to dental practices, and ChatGPT is the only assistant its page names. It runs a free ChatGPT Ranking Check that shows where a practice ranks for a "best dentist in [location]" question, with a visibility score.
For its existing clients, GEO is an add-on at $99 a month, and the page says it will be included in the Ultimate plan; new practices are asked to book a call, and the service is limited to 50 clients per month (checked 30 October 2026). The page names no client practices and sets its own expectation of 6 to 12 months of consistent optimization.
Studio 8E8
Studio 8E8, an agency in New Albany, Ohio, lists four GEO services for dental practices: a one-time GEO Visibility Snapshot of how visible the practice is across AI-powered searches, Local GEO, Performance GEO aimed at high-value procedures, and GEO consulting. It lists the kinds of practices it works with rather than client practices, names no specific assistant and publishes no price.

How should a dental practice judge a GEO agency?
Four tests tell these agencies apart better than their sales pages do. The general version of this checklist is in What Does a GEO Agency Do and How Do You Choose One?; here is what changes for a dental practice.
Dental or healthcare clients they can name. A case study with a practice's name on it is something you can check; a client count is not. In this list, Dominate Dental names dental practices in its case studies. Ask every other agency, ours included, for names you can call, and ask what changed for those practices in AI answers, not only in Google rankings.
How they measure AI mentions. Ask in writing for the list of patient questions, the assistants asked, and how often. Assistants do not give the same answer every time, so compare only reports measured the same way. Good reports also show which sites the assistants cite. A May 2026 audit by 5W of ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Mode found directory and review sites supplying most AI answers about dentists, with individual practices appearing inside those directories but rarely above them; 5W calls its findings directional estimates. In the English clinic's report above, the most cited pages were the NHS website and local practices' own sites, so the sites cited for your own questions, in your own country, matter more than any general study. How Do Local Businesses Get Recommended by AI Assistants? covers the local side in more depth.
What they publish on your own site. Much of the work lands on your website: procedure pages, answers to the questions patients ask, and practice details an assistant can read and quote. Ask who writes it, under whose name, who checks it clinically, and who owns the pages if you leave. Under section 5.F.1 of the ADA Code of Professional Conduct, a dental health article published under a dentist's byline without truthful disclosure of its source and authorship is a false or misleading representation, so ask how authorship will be shown on anything written in your name.
Health-advertising rules they respect. Section 5.F of the same code says no dentist may advertise in a manner that is false or misleading in any material respect, and its examples include creating an unjustified expectation about results and claiming, without reasonable substantiation, that the services are superior in quality to other dentists'. Section 5.F.6 applies that duty to practice websites and says SEO techniques used on them should comport with the code, so "best dentist in town" copy written for assistants needs the same care as an ad. ThinkProfits says it follows CDA and state dental board guidelines and routes content through your clinical team; in the UK, Dominate Dental says its content passes GDC and ASA guardrails. Ask any agency how it checks.
What should you ask a GEO agency before signing?
- Which patient questions will you track for my practice, and can I see and change the list before we start?
- Which assistants do you ask, how often, and how many times per question?
- Do your reports show the answers that name my practice, the practices named instead, and the sites the assistants cite?
- What will you publish on my website each month, under whose name, and who reviews it for clinical accuracy?
- How do you keep content within the ADA code, or GDC and ASA rules in the UK?
- Which dental or healthcare clients can you name, and may I contact one?
- What does it cost, what is the minimum term, and what happens if the numbers do not move? Compare the answer with the published price ranges in How Much Does Generative Engine Optimization Cost per Month?
Ask for the answers in writing, so you have something to hold the agency to.
What is the first step for a dental practice?
Find out where you stand before you talk to any agency. Run our free check on your homepage: it writes five patient-style questions and shows how ChatGPT and Perplexity answer them, two in full straight away and all five once you create an account. The detailed report of 20 patient questions across all four assistants is then free with that account.
Take that question list to whichever agency you speak to and ask it to measure the same questions, so its numbers and ours can be compared. If you would rather test by hand first, How to Check If ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity Name You shows how.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a GEO agency cost for a dental practice?
Published prices in this list, checked on 30 October 2026, run from a $99 a month add-on for existing Smile Marketing clients to $4,995 a month for the top ThinkProfits tier. Dominate Dental charges £999 a month for Get Found, Gargle lists Website & SEO at $595 or $1,145 a month, and our plan is $499 a month plus a one-time $499 setup. Rosemont Media and Studio 8E8 publish no GEO price, so ask them for a written quote with the minimum term.
What guarantee do GEO agencies offer dental practices?
The ItGrows growth guarantee is "In 90 days, AI assistants will name you more often than on launch day — or we work for free." (conditions apply), and on its full system Dominate Dental offers "New attended patients in 90 days, or we work free until you get them.", with the number agreed up front in writing. The GEO pages of the other five agencies in this list state no guarantee. Before relying on any guarantee, ask exactly what is counted and how.
Which AI assistants should a dental GEO agency check?
At least ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, plus Google's AI answers if many of your patients find you through Google. The table above shows which assistants each agency names on its own page; ask for the same list in your contract.
Should a dental practice also work on directory profiles?
Yes. The May 2026 audit by 5W found that nine directory and review sites, led by Google Business Profile, Healthgrades and Zocdoc, supply most AI answers about dentists. Keep those profiles complete and consistent with your website, and ask your agency whether its reports show which of them the assistants cite for your questions.
